Description
UNIGLAS® SAFE is a bullet-resistant glazing used as laminated safety glass (VSG) or insulating glass. It offers protection against the fire of certain handguns and types of ammunition and is perfect for places where maximum security is required – such as government buildings, embassies, boardrooms, jewellers, banks, security gates or private residences.
UNIGLAS® SAFE is characterised by a unique pane structure that efficiently absorbs the kinetic energy of projectiles and prevents them from penetrating. Depending on your needs, we offer shattering (S) or non-shattering (NS) bullet-resistant glazing. The latter is particularly suitable for personal protection, as the inside of the glass remains completely intact.
Bullet resistance according to German standards
The safety and effectiveness of our products is our top priority. The UNIGLAS® SAFE SG tests were carried out by the Ulm Proof House in accordance with the strict standards of DIN EN 1063. This standard classifies nine resistance classes – BR1 to SG2 – based on the calibre and firepower against which the glass is to be bulletproof.
What characterises UNIGLAS® SAFE?
In order to ensure the highest possible quality, Glas Marte deliberately does not use polycarbonate in the production of UNIGLAS® SAFE. This increases the clarity, scratch resistance and resistance to delamination of our bullet-resistant glazing. The bulletproof glass also offers protection against break-ins and can also have acoustic insulation properties. This makes UNIGLAS® SAFE the ideal choice for demanding security requirements where other security aspects play a role alongside ballistic protection.
