Variable Design, Constant Safety
GM VSG LAMIMART® consists of at least two sheets of glass firmly bonded together with viscoplastic, highly tear-resistant foils, mostly made of polyvinyl butyral (PVB). The glasses are heated along with the intermediate film by infrared radiators and pressed together by means of a roller press. The autoclave is then used to create a permanent bond between glass and foil under heat and pressure. Several panes of the same or varying types and thicknesses of glass can be connected, so that the advantages of different types of glass can be combined in one composite.
GM VSG LAMIMART® is used both indoors and outdoors: monolithic as a two- or multi-pane element or in an insulating glass composite. By connecting glass sheets and film with the same or varying properties, VSG can be combined with a wide range of functions, such as sound, heat or sun protection. The design options are also multiplied by combining it with colored films, digital or screen printing.
