DELICATE AND HIGH-QUALITY
OFFICE BUILDING AM OBERANGER
In the heart of Munich, a prestigious office and commercial building has emerged in an exposed location. The Oberanger has been an important marketplace since the Middle Ages and the goal was to develop a high-quality structure at this sensitive spot which is appropriate in terms of design and town planning. The winning design, selected from an international architectural competition, came from the Berlin office of Prof. Volker Staab Architekten.
The exterior of the house looks particularly elegant thanks to its floral ornamentation. In order to make this legible for the viewer, design qualities of the historic facades of Munich were defined and taken up again in an adapted form in the facade of the new building.
The all-glass railing Solo Y by GM RAILING® on the roof terrace combined with architectural bronze is intended to catch the eye. The project establishes a completely new style and its facade sets new standards in relation to the reinterpretation of the historic buildings in old town. This way, the new building blends into its historic and evolved environment without sacrificing the flexibility of use.
Fall-resistant function up to 2 kN / m of beam load!
With the GM RAILING® Solo Y series, a solution is achieved that corresponds to the vertical bonding of the foil roof. As usual, the bonding adhesives outside and inside are conducted to the highest possible point. The profiles have the possibility of thermal expansion to solve any sealing problems. In this way, the all-glass railing blends into the historically evolved environment without sacrificing the flexibility of use.
